  Welcome Home Heroes with Whitney Houston is the first ever solo televised concert and video by American singer Whitney Houston. Released on May 14, 1991, through Arista Records, the video contains Whitney's HBO concert special Welcome Home Heroes with Whitney Houston, which was broadcast live from the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia, on March 31, 1991, Easter Sunday, for 3,500 servicemen and women returning from the Gulf War.[1] It was released in VHS and Laserdisc on May 14, 1991, and later on DVD in 2002. In 2008, the DVD was re-released in the United States and worldwide with the title A Song  for You :  Live.

  The Sanremo Music Festival 1991 (Italian: Festival di Sanremo 1991), officially the 41st Italian Song Festival (41º Festival della canzone italiana), was the 41st annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo between 27 February and 2 March 1991 and broadcast on Rai 1. The show was presented by actors Andrea Occhipinti and Edwige Fenech. Adriano Aragozzini served as artistic director.

  In November 1994 (27 years ago) Whitney performed her legendary series of shows in South Africa at the end of apartheid. The three shows (Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town) took place between November 8 and November 19. The Johannesburg show (with an audience of more than 70,000) was filmed for HBO.
